System requirements per machine

All three machines must meet these requirements independently.

Deploying across three PCs

1. Open your delivery email. Keys and the official download link arrive at the checkout address, usually within minutes of payment clearing.
2. Check the Office architecture on each machine before you start. If a PC runs 64-bit Office, install 64-bit Project on it — mixing 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft applications blocks the installer, and machines in the same team often differ.
3. Uninstall earlier Project versions on every machine. Leftover installs cause more activation failures than faulty keys do.
4. Install and activate one seat at a time. Open Project, go to File → Account, enter the key, and stay online while it verifies. Confirming seat one before starting seat two makes any problem far easier to isolate.
5. Repeat on the remaining machines using the per-seat instructions in your delivery email.
6. Note which key went to which PC. This takes five minutes now and saves considerable guesswork when a machine is later replaced.

Frequently asked questions

Do I receive three separate keys or one key for all three PCs?

This depends on how the pack is issued, and your delivery email states which applies along with per-seat instructions. Either way the licence covers three installations. Email us your order number if anything is unclear and we'll confirm.

Can the three seats belong to different people?

Yes. The seats do not have to sit with one person, so three project managers can run one each. What the pack does not cover is a fourth concurrent installation — that needs an additional licence.

Can all three planners work on the same project file at once?

Not simultaneously in the way a cloud tool allows. Desktop Project uses file-based collaboration — shared resource pools and master projects let planners work on linked sub-projects, but genuine real-time co-authoring requires Project Plan 3 or Project Online.

What happens if one of the three PCs is replaced?

Reactivation on new hardware depends on the licence type and Microsoft's terms, which vary by region and agreement. Remove Project from the old machine first where you can, then send us your order number and we'll advise on that seat.

Is the pack cheaper than three single-PC licences?

Do the three PCs need to be on the same network?

No. The seats are independent and can sit in different offices or countries. Each machine only needs an internet connection when it activates. A shared resource pool does require access to a common file location, but that is a storage question rather than a licensing one.
