Read This Before You Buy
This is an upgrade key, not a full licence. It only works on a PC that already has Windows 11 Home installed and activated. It is the cheaper route when you already own Home and only need the Pro features.

The Four Features People Actually Upgrade For

How to Upgrade Windows 11 Home to Pro

Check your current edition - go to Settings > System > Activation and confirm it reads Windows 11 Home and that Windows is activated.

Back up anything critical. The upgrade preserves your data, but a backup before any licence change is simply good practice.

Open Change product key - under Settings > System > Activation > Upgrade your edition of Windows, select Change product key.

Do I need to reinstall Windows to upgrade from Home to Pro?
No. The upgrade is applied in place through Settings. Your files, installed programs, desktop layout and settings all remain exactly as they were. Windows restarts once during the process.
Will I lose my files or applications?
No. An edition upgrade changes which features are unlocked, not the contents of your drive. We still recommend a backup before any licence change, as a general precaution.
